US M4A1

M4A1 Sherman tank was first used by US forces during operation “Torch” , the allied invasion of North Africa and in the Italian campaign of 1943. This vehicle was also used to equip some US tank formation in the Normandy invasion and is recognisable by it rounded cast hull.

M4A3 75mm Sherman tank was used almost exclusively by US forces and saw action in Italy and North West Europe. Recognisable by the angle of slope of its frontal armour which differed from other Sherman models.

US M4A3 - 76 mm

M4A3 76mm Sherman tank was an up gunned version of the M4A3, armed with the longer and more powerful 76mm gun mounted in a longer cast turret. The tank was introduced in small numbers during the Normandy campaign and later, was issued in greater numbers as more became available in a bid to offset German tank superiority.
